For the 7th Biennial Sculpture Exhibition of Art in the Orchard, I got the opportunity to redesign aspects of their iconic program booklet. The biggest change in this version of the program is the sculpture pages which features ‘life size’ images of the sculptures in a full bleed grid format as well as some text grouping and overall design choices. I also took the image that ended up being the front cover of Pamela Mastuda-Dunn’s “Passages” sculpture featuring a fabric blossom adhered onto a natural wooden branch.

Graphic Printing MA is a print shop located in West Springfield, MA. This opportunity to design the brand came through my experience working at a regional print shop in Enfield, CT. The print shop had bought Graphic Printing MA and wanted a brand to reflect the nature of their customers.
Their business grew and established a strong reputation by providing traditional offset-printed materials. They have continued this tradition of printing while also embracing the latest digital technology.
Using both offset and digital printing – and understanding how they differ -means that we can meet the entire rang of your printing needs.
At Graphic Printing, they provide printing and finishing services to make your life simpler. Their graphic design team will look at your goals, specifications, and budget to create the right printed piece for you. They will ensure that all printed materials meet your existing brand identity. When your job leaves the press, we can add finishing touches in our complete binder department. We even delver mailings directly to the post office.
They currently tend 90 varieties of perennial fruit in the form of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, cherries, pears and apples. Their apples are set up for Pick-Your-Own harvesting and they sell them at our farmstand here and at several farmer’s markets. Art In the Orchard is a walking sculpture trail which winds through our productive fruit gardens. The self-guided trail is about a half-mile long. A walk through the labyrinth adds about a quarter mile. This year’s exhibition is the fourth biennial which features all new works by sculptors as selected by their credentialed jury.
