Review on Milk & Honey Herbs

I truly feel the only place to put this is on my website. I will not take this down nor edit this after posting. My experience with Milk & Honey Herbs left me deeply disappointed, frustrated and angry. I enrolled in a class with high hopes of learning and growing and then becoming officially certified in medicine making, but instead, I encountered a situation that shook my trust in this organization/small business. During the first session of the course, I diligently worked on making the medicine. Afterwards, I updated my own website to reflect my experiences in the session, writing information on each plant and using my photos I took during the session. Consider this post as a summary of what happened between me and the owner of M&H.

However, a few days later after posting the blog posts to my own public Facebook page, she messaged me on instagram and the teacher said to source her materials she sent when I never used them in my posts. It came to light that the teacher was attempting to pass off my blog posts as her own material, saying I had copied or ‘summarized’ her writing, when I hadn’t and promptly excused me from class, I was shocked and outraged. As I explained numerous times I used chatgpt entirely to write my blog posts and didn’t even look at or reference the materials she had sent us. No one owns medicinal info on each plant as it has been passed down from our ancestors. There’s been several legal battles surrounding this; one locally, the Shire City Herbals dispute with two other herbalism business in this area in 2019. Not to mention she didn’t even include a sources section in her own materials!!! She is completely unhinged, a bully and a harasser.

To have my work, my intellectual property, essentially misrepresented by someone in a position of authority felt like a betrayal. It not only undermined my efforts but also eroded the integrity of the educational environment. This experience has left me questioning the professionalism and ethics of both the teacher and Milk & Honey Herbs as a small business. It’s disheartening to see such behavior tolerated and even perpetuated within the educational setting. In hindsight, I would caution others against enrolling in classes at Milk & Honey Herbs until they address and rectify these concerning issues. Students deserve an environment where their hard work and creativity are respected and valued, not exploited for someone else’s gain. I will not let her bully and harass me further on this issue. She claims this is her livelihood but makes rash decisions and isn’t understanding of the other persons’ perspective. That’s not a teacher!! Period.

Anyone associated from M&H do not bother contacting me on this matter.

3 Artistic Apps to Bring Out Your Artsy Side

Artistry comes from the soul and is then translated with the movement of our hands regardless if we’re holding a pencil, a mouse, or a stylus. Though the problem with designing anything on a computer is the tedium and imprecision that comes with it, thus a lot of artists still prefer to draw free hand and leave desktop platform to the graphic designers.

Perhaps the best invention that combines art and technology is the drawing tablet and the apps that transform your portable computer into a modern sketchpad. As a contributor of SitePoint notes, a stylus is generally much easier and more comfortable to hold in your hand than a mouse, and allow for an incredible degree of precision in your work?

Here are the top recommended iPad apps for artists:

  1. Paper by FiftyThree
The availability of free drawing apps are quite slim, so if you’re not looking to invest in a mechanical sketchpad, Paper by FiftyThree should work for you. Designed for the budding and the seasoned artists, this beautiful app can be used with or without a stylus.
  2. ArtRage
For a variety of art mediums, ArtRage has got you covered. To transform your digital canvas into spectacular work of art, you’re provided with additional tools such as pens, pastels and even spray paint, along with rollers and palette knives to help you build and blend.
  3. Procreate – Sketch, paint, create
Possible the most powerful artistic app on the market, Procreate is an Apple Design Award winner and has the most amazing resolution, layering system, and 128 brushes for all your toolbox needs. The app is definitely worth more than its price.

To think that your tablet can do much more than your laptop might have been bizarre five years ago, but now mobile tech designers are surprising us with new functions of our devices. Gaming Realms, such as, the group that supplies online slots for Pocketfruity, predicted that mobile usage would exceed desktop usage in 2013, and in plenty of ways, it has, especially now that we can see the versatility of our tablets. And the ability to sketch on your iPad is as authentic as your vision can get from a technological standpoint.

Shopping Rounds

Since my family has bought their retirement/beach home a few years ago, my mom and I have officially built a shopping routine. There are a few stores that I just -have- to stop by before I leave because the merchandise is almost always different and then there are the few that I go for my spiritual supplies.

First up is the Earth House. This is a hippie, vintage metaphysical store. Its a great pitstop to buy basic supplies for your ritual needs. For example, my mom and I made a pitstop yesterday because my co-worker was looking for Frankincense and Myrah incense. They have tarot cards, candles, scents, gemstones and crystals, and many other cool things! Can be a bit pricey though depending on what you’re looking for. Some of their other gifty things can be a bit pricey, but not so much of the ritual tools.

Next up is Buddha Beads. I 575720_496642970352342_191839206_nabsolutely love this store because their prices are pretty decent! I just picked up a really old address book that I’m going to repurpose into a ritual book or sketch book. It’s a 11×17 and has a marble cover and what I liked about it was that the information can be organized alphabetically by using the letters for the addresses. This place is part metaphysical too. If you need selenite it will be there, or a a hindu statue, or chakra jewelry, incense, buddha heads, rough amethyst slabs, singing bowls, you name it. I like the feel of this store better than Earth House though.487911_496643157018990_343837952_n

The next store that I always find good things at is a thrift store called Local Colour Boutique. My mom and I went in here to look for an orange clutch for my reception gala in Montreal next week but unfortunately ConsignmentScenecame out empty handed. The clothing that is picked out is chic enough and I love how the owner displays the clothing by color (well d’oh!) It’s really eye catching. Haven’t found anything yet at this store, we always seem to go in there looking for something specific and end up not finding, I haven’t actually looking around here! Might try that next time.

Finally, the last thrift store I love is St. Joan of Arc. It run by the catholics of St. Joan of Arc church. The prices here are fantastic and the selection is great. The last time I was here I bought cute purple purse as seen in the picture to below. I have found a few good vintage dresses there too, unfortunately not in my size. There were also a few shoes that I liked.

photoWell there you have it! There are a few other shops we stop at but they aren’t as likeable in my opinion. They tend to be a bit of a hit or miss in terms of pricing and selection – they are Shop For A Song and Hope Chest in Orleans. I had found an awesome painted moon, sun and planet plate at Hope Chest but it was too expensive. Although I did find a sweater there the first or second time I went that I wear a lot. The weekend after Mother’s Day my mom found a candle shade that matched her hydrangea wine glasses that I gave her for Mother’s Day.

AirBNB Fail

This morning I woke up with some frustrating and aggravating news.I had booked this place back in MAY to avoid any problems that may arise. So far so good, until my mother decided to come (which wasn’t the problem). I communicated to my host and first he said that he had an extra room available that my Mother can use. I thought, Okay great! Problem solved.A few days later he comes back and says that apparently he forgot he had a friend staying the days that we needed the extra room and offered his room. As a response, I said because of sleeping habits and health conditions it was best if we took the separate rooms. So this morning I woke up to him saying that his landlord decided that they didn’t like having a bunch of different people coming and going. I tried calling my host right away and he said he was in a “rush”, I made him get my number from me and said he’d call me back. Never did…thank god Airbnb handles the transactions; found another place, thankfully. But, OMG – I freaked out. Never in a million years could I have predicted this happening. The guy had 41 positive reviews and everyone loved the place. I was stunned that this happened. Edit: So my former host did finally respond to me, but didn’t say much other than these landlord issues were recent. Bah.

Time-Space Physics

I am almost finished with The Source Field Investigations by David Wilcock. I must say, I really enjoyed the read. I also was surprised how I agreed with most of what he said about the source field being Einstein’s “Holy Grail” i. E the Unified Field Theory. THOUGH, the only thing I don’t agree with is his take on gravity. He says gravity is a force within the Source Field. I don’t think this is the case. I think gravity is the reason why things are the way we view them, in space-time, if we flip gravity, we will be in time-space.

He has also opened my eyes into investigating the Time-Space parallel reality of Space-time. See the problem here folks is that mainstream scientists focus on the space-time science of things, however, it seems individuals are breaking into the time-space side of things and this obviously is upsetting the status quo. Thus contradictions, and suppression of amazing technology. We must be open to the idea of a parallel reality that is opposite entirely in nature to the space-time we’re so familiar with.. Time-space to me is where all the weird paranormal activities originate from. These anomalies pop over into space-time and we see them, but they are of time-space origin.

Wilcock helped me realize that the Golden mean may be in fact what we need to make matter be time-space material. The vibration or geometry to make matter atoms pop into time-space. Earlier I posted about in putting the Golden Mean in E = Mc2 it just occurred to me that may perhaps be a clue to turning everything into time-space material. Speeding things up so they enter Time-space. I’m thinking mysticism may in fact be the time-space science and that is why it doesn’t react the same in the space-time reality because once upon a time it was time-space and so the science worked, but the galaxy flipped over into space-time and so that knowledge is outdated. This also backs up my assertion that the Golden Mean spirals are expressions of light. They are coming directly from time-space and popping over into space-time. And their signature is a spiral.

Portfolio Gallery

PHEW!

I finally uploaded ALL my work from college and client to my new portfolio gallery. I am using Zenphoto and I LOVE it! I totally recommend using it for a gallery managing system. It was relatively easy to set up and it makes it a lot easier to upload images without having to deal with code! Amazing. It utilizes MYSQL database and PHP so make sure your domain can support that. You can also upload .zips and .mov, .mp3 and .mp4. Yippie.

Its totally customizable too. I just figured out the PHP structure of the site and figured out the basic structure of the layout theme and CSS and just put my own CSS into the style.css file and assigned the right labels to the right divs, etc and done!

Def recommend it.

Lady Gaga “Born This Way” Review

Lady Gaga is one of my favorite artists. She is one of the few people I can listen to for the entire day without getting bored and that says a lot. I get bored easily. Sure the lyrics may not be everyone’s favorite, but for me, I listen to music to get my creativity working, basically a mental soundtrack. If music can’t be a companion to my mind then I consider it boring. In her “Google Goes Gaga” interview, Gaga says that this album was aiming for more of a european techno feel rather than a typical americano dance album. At first I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t like The Fame/The Fame Monster… but then Lady Gaga doesn’t do the same thing twice! American culture got her famous and she devoted that album to it, but considering her italian background her European techno album is really fitting. In one interview I think with FuseTV she says the album is about worshiping yourself, “Born this Way” is all about accepting your identity for who you are.

Another thing that pisses me off is that Amazon is offering the Entire album for .99 and 20gb of space. I spent $15! Really not happy with that… anyway, I totally recommend checking out the music if you’re looking to add european flair to your collection.
