Studio Updates

facebookadMy studio is finally ready to begin move-in process and the decorating process. I’ve set a date for a studio launch and plan on advertising to some of the art studios in Beverly. The launch won’t happen until sometime in November so it would give me some time to plan and things like that. Doing some research on launch parties and designed an invite. It’ll be a great way to say to the Beverly art community, “hello world, I have arrived!” Haha. Excited.

I have pretty much gotten an internship at We Party Boston in Malden. I haven’t gotten the first project yet, but it looks pretty promising. I really hope this takes off too.

AHHH I’m so excited

I was notified yesterday that my artwork was accepted into an exhibition called the Infinite Earth and was a recipient of the Award of Excellence ($2,000)!!! The exhibition runs from September to December at the Kennedy Center of the Arts in Washington DC. The sponsor for this exhibition is going to pay for my shipment of my artwork, and travel + hotel. I have never been to DC and I cannot wait to go! I was kinda laughing though because the trip happens to be right before I go to California. They want me to travel from September 10-12 and I leave for California on the 13th. Man September is going to be nuts for a bit. I’m already thinking of how to spend my money… lol.

Celebrations Gallery and Shoppes

I mentioned this on facebook but realized that I didn’t blog about it. My artwork has been accepted into an exhibition in Pomfret, CT called “Illumination” curated by the Celebrations Gallery and Shoppes. The reception will be on July 20th – the same day I come home from Montreal… from 5-8pm. It is only an hour away from Boston! The exhibition runs from July 20th – September 1st!

This is the chosen work.

Interview at Peg+Dick

I have an interview next Monday at Peg+Dick a Vintage Modern Design Studio in Provincetown, Ma! I’m excited to be going back down to the Cape. Wish me luck. The position is a paid internship for 20-40 hours. I really resonate with the work they produce as they focus on form and color in their designs which is something I look for as well when I design.

Peg + Dick design studio is located in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
