Feathered Serpent = Out of Body?
Some people don’t really understand who the Feathered Serpent is. He goes by three names Viracocha of the Inca, Quetzalcoatl of the Aztec and Kukulkan of the Maya.
Some people think its an archetype for a comet:
To the logical that would make sense.
To the more abstract minded, the Feathered Serpent could be describing an experience, such at the Out of Body Experience:
Shedding my serpentine skin. And becoming light as feather, but still maintaining my serpentine form.
In the Mayan legends, it is a person, furnishing mankind wisdom. He rose into the sky and became like the morning star, Venus; and is also associated by the 8 pointed star. According to the Mayan prophecy Kukulkan is expected to return at the beginning of the next Golden Age (2012)…
The Mysterious Sun Symbolism
According to Qabbalah the Son of God, RA, or RAY, who is Jesus, is the Light of the World.
2010’s most important celestial story may have been about another celestial disk, our Sun, waking up. To paraphrase astrophysicist Dr. Paul LaViolette, ‘Earth is under fire’ from our restless Sol. This is big news.
Scientists warn that from 2011 till mid 2013 we will see more and potentially destructive stellar activity as the Sun enters the most active part of its cycle known as “solar max.” Noting that this activity coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar, prophets warn this period will see dramatic signs in the sky (coinciding with even more tyrannical governance in the name of fighting terrorism, even louder high-pitched ringing in our ears, more body ache from scaling the new frequency or tone as we morph into a new species and, generally, more cosmic wonderment or weirdness).
Could the Sun’s awakening and light show be a ‘just in time’ cosmic anointing in tides of light and the prelude to fulfillment of Mayan and Christian End Time prophecy?

Increased solar activity could give residents of the continental U.S., southern Europe and Japan the chance to see the northern lights for the first time in several years
‘SUN, SON, SUN, HERE IT COMES…’
After an unusually long period of low activity, a series of powerful solar events took place on August 1, 2010, where nearly the entire Earth-facing side of the Sun erupted in a tumult of activity, with a large solar flare, a solar tsunami, multiple filaments of magnetism lifting off the solar surface, radio bursts, and half a dozen coronal mass ejections (CMEs).

As the Sun awakens, NASA is keeping a close eye on space weather (and wondering what’s going on in our solar system and, indeed, the galaxy?!!!). Some are warning of potentially catastrophic events to come between now and mid-May 2012-2013. Others say they’ve been hearing this solar “kill shot” BS for years and nothing’s happened.
Richard Fisher, head of NASA’s Heliophysics Division, explains what it’s all about: “The Sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few years we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity. At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms.” The intersection of these two issues is foremost on the minds of space scientists.
The National Academy of Sciences framed the problem two years ago in a landmark understatement entitled “Severe Space Weather Events—Societal and Economic Impacts.”
It noted how people of the 21st-century rely on high-tech systems for the basics of daily life. Smart power grids, GPS navigation, air travel, financial services and emergency radio communications can all be temporarily knocked out (or even wiped out) by intense solar activity. In other words, basically everything upon which our lives now depend is at risk in the coming years.
A century-class solar storm, the Academy warned, could cause twenty times more economic damage than Hurricane Katrina. That would be a two trillion dollar disaster!
Much of the damage can be mitigated if managers know a storm is coming. Putting satellites in ‘safe mode’ and disconnecting transformers can protect these assets from damaging electrical surges. Preventative action, however, requires accurate forecasting – a job that has been assigned to NOAA.
ATON ATONATIUH
Several prophetic traditions, including the Inca, foretell of immense changes during our time. As Kathy Doore observes, the Inca prophecies say that now, in this age, when the eagle of the North and the condor of the South fly together, the Earth will awaken. The eagles of the North cannot be free without the condors of the South.
The Aztecs also paid very close attention to the movement of the Sun and their calendar is second only to the Mayan in accuracy. For Aztecs, Tonitiuh was the god of sun and Tollan, the Aztec heaven. Interestingly, the original Mayan name homeland was called Tollan or Tula and it was from Tula where Quetzalcoatl ruled. Mayan prophecy says he’s expected to return in 2012.

According to Aztec legend, these squares represented the different ways that the four previous suns (or worlds) had come to an end: first by wild animals, then by wind, by fire, and by floods. I am fascinated by the similarity between the names and meaning of the names Tonatiuh (tona = to the sun and heat, tiuh = ir) and Aton, the name of the Disk during the reign of Akhenaton. This revolutionary thinker asserted that the Aton, “the Heat or Energy within the Disk” – also interpreted as the light that illuminates the Sun — transcended and comprehended all other images of Divinity.
A disk with rays extending from it symbolized the Aton. The rays culminate in delicate hands that offer the “ankh” or key of life symbol. No other image was allowed in the temples. It reminded worshippers that the Essence of the Sun – the “heat” or the “heat and light” within the Disk – is not confined to the Disk itself, but is present and active, and life giving wherever the rays of the Sun reach. In the Hymn to Aton, Akhenaton wrote that these rays even penetrate deep within the sea.

While the disciples of Jesus were indoors praying, a sound like that of a rushing wind filled the house and tongues of fire descended and rested over each of their crown chakras. “Suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:2-3)
As I discuss in SOUL RISING, Christian art portraying the Pentecost, or the anointing of the disciples by the Son in that cosmic energy called the Holy Spirit, is virtually identical to the Amarna depictions of Akhenaton and Nefertiti receiving the rays/keys of the Aton.
In these depictions it is possible to see the connection between the Key of Life and the Holy Spirit. So clear is the correspondence that one wonders if the Pentecost is a revival of an ancient Gnostic ceremony or mystery school teaching?

If we substitute the Sun for the Son as the transmitter of this energy we can imagine a vibration coming from our star and illuminating the consciousness of the disciples, energizing and empowering them. Christian prophecy says it will be poured out on all flesh in the Last Days (Acts 2:16-21).
The Federation of Damanhur
I’ve been meaning to post about this for awhile.
The Federation of Damanhur sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, but in reality is is a small country/spiritual community in Northern Italy. They are a social example of bringing back the sciences from the Atlantian period. They built a huge underground temple called the Temple of Mankind. It has been nicknamed the “eighth wonder of the world”.
This Temple acknowledges ALL ‘mainstream religions’ and the beauty and spiritual significance of art.
About: But the ‘Temples of Damanhur’ are not the great legacy of some long-lost civilisation, they are the work of a 57-year-old former insurance broker from northern Italy who, inspired by a childhood vision, began digging into the rock.
It all began in the early Sixties when Oberto Airaudi was aged ten. From an early age, he claims to have experienced visions of what he believed to be a past life, in which there were amazing temples.
Around these he dreamed there lived a highly evolved community who enjoyed an idyllic existence in which all the people worked for the common good.
More bizarrely still, Oberto appeared to have had a supernatural ability: the gift of “remote viewing” – the ability to travel in his mind’s eye to describe in detail the contents of any building.
“My goal was to recreate the temples from my visions,” he says.
Oberto – who prefers to use the name ‘Falco’ – began by digging a trial hole under his parent’s home to more fully understand the principals of excavation.
But it was only as he began a successful career as an insurance broker that he began to search for his perfect site.
In 1977, he selected a remote hillside where he felt the hard rock would sustain the structures he had in mind.
A house was built on the hillside and Falco moved in with several friends who shared his vision. Using hammers and picks, they began their dig to create the temples of Damanhur – named after the ancient subterranean Egyptian temple meaning City of Light – in August 1978.
As no planning permission had been granted, they decided to share their scheme only with like-minded people.
Volunteers, who flocked from around the world, worked in four-hour shifts for the next 16 years with no formal plans other than Falco’s sketches and visions, funding their scheme by setting up small businesses to serve the local community.
By 1991, several of the nine chambers were almost complete with stunning murals, mosaics, statues, secret doors and stained glass windows. But time was running out on the secret.
‘They are to remind people that we are all capable of much more than we realise and that hidden treasures can be found within every one of us once you know how to access them,’ says Falco.

The Belousov-Zhabotinskii reaction (or BZ reaction) is performed using a mixture of sodium bromate, malonic acid, sulphuric acid, and ferroin. This creates a complex oxidising reaction that changes colour periodically. The oscillations start with the formation in a red solution of small blue dots that expand into ever-widening concentric blue rings. Sometimes these will become expanding Archimedean spirals; the patterns intermix and become increasingly complex towards the end of the reaction. Hele-shaw cell experiments of form generation

So-called Angelic Script – light is the inspiration for script fonts?
There is an esoteric side to everything, no doubt. That is why I like this school of thought.
Some say script is just the effect of primitive writing. Calligraphy was just a primitive writing style and things developed after the printing press into the print penmanship we know of today.
But one must ask, what made us use flowing inky lines? What in our subconscious told us that flowing lines were easier than architectural letters?
Some say is has to do with the flow of energy and some say it is actually the manifestation of our thoughts (which is light with sound attached).

The Magical Designs of the Shipibo Indians of Peru
Have you ever wondered what inspired the designs of the indigenous peoples?
There are instances when design inspiration comes from an other worldly experience.
He reports that Shipibo shamans believe that taking Ayahuasca permits the shaman’s soul to leave his body in the form of a bird which then can fly to a distant enemy at night. This bird then changes back into the shaman’s human form so he can destroy the sleeping enemy. Shipibo WomanUnder the influence of the Banisteriopsis drink mixture, the Shipibo Indians often report seeing giant anacondas, poisonous snakes, and jaguars. Less frequently, other animals are observed in their visions. In addition, Harner reports that often a shaman, taking the drink, believes he acquires giant snakes which are to be his special demons to be used in protecting himself against other shamans in supernatural battles. The Shipibo shamans, under the influence of the drug, believe they imprison other persons’ souls with supernatural boats whose demon crews are led by a yellow jaguar and a black puma.
The pineal gland is your third eye. It is usually illustrated in art as a pinecone. This eye is actually a small gland in the center of the brain, which we’re told is to help balance both the left and right brain when working properly.
This gland secretes a serotonin known as DMT or Dimethyltryptamine that is nicknamed to be the spirit molecule, because it’s the very tryptamine that helps us fall asleep. This gland is called an eye because it has a retina and is built like our exterior eyes. This eye opens when lights are off, or we close our eyes. In Matthew 4:16 “the people sitting in darkness saw a great Light; and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, Light sprang up to them,” Isa. 9:1-2. This eye is home to visions, dreams, ideas and imaginations. There has been an interesting study of the brain chemistry of schizophrenics and creative people. The basis of the conclusion of this was the chemistry from the third eye. Schizophrenic behavior occurs when the third eye is awake when the person is awake.

The intricate Shipibo designs have their origin in the non-manifest and ineffable world in the spirit of the Rainforest and all who live there. The designs are a representation of the Cosmic Serpent, the Anaconda, the great Mother, creator of the universe called Ronin Kene. For the Shipibo the skin of Ronin Kene has a radiating, electrifying vibration of light, colour, sound, movement and is the embodiment of all possible patterns and designs past, present, and future. The designs that the Shipibo paint are channels or conduits for this multi-sensorial vibrational fusion of form, light and sound. Although in our cultural paradigm we perceive that the geometric patterns are bound within the border of the textile or ceramic vessel, to the Shipibo the patterns extend far beyond these borders and permeate the entire world.
One of the challenges for the Western mind is to acknowledge the relationship between the Shipibo designs and music. For the Shipibo can “listen” to a song or chant by looking at the designs, and inversely paint a pattern by listening to a song or music.
The Shipibo believe that our state of health (which includes physical and psychological) is dependent on the balanced union between mind, spirit and body. If an imbalance in this occurs such as through emotions of envy, hate, anger, this will generate a negative effect on the health of that person. The shaman will re-establish the balance by chanting the icaros, which are the geometric patterns of harmony made manifest in sound into the body of the person. The shaman in effect transforms the visual code into an acoustic code.
A key element in this magical dialogue with the energy which permeates creation and is embedded in the Shipibo designs is the work with ayahuasca by the Shipibo shamans or muraya. In the deep ayahuasca trance, the ayahuasca reveals to the shaman the luminous geometric patterns of energy. These filaments drift towards the mouth of the shaman where it metamorphoses into a chant or icaro. The icaro is a conduit for the patterns of creation which then permeate the body of the shaman’s patient bringing harmony in the form of the geometric patterns which re-balances the patient’s body. The vocal range of the Shipibo shaman’s when they chant the icaros is astonishing, they can range from the highest falsetto one moment to a sound which resembles a thumping pile driver, and then to a gentle soothing melodic lullaby. Speaking personally of my experience with this, is a feeling that every cell in my body is floating and embraced in a nurturing all-encompassing vibration, even the air around me is vibrating in acoustic resonance with the icaro of the maestro. The shaman knows when the healing is complete as the design is clearly distinct in the patient’s body. It make take a few sessions to complete this, and when completed the geometric healing designs are embedded in the patient’s body, this is called an Arkana. This internal patterning is deemed to be permanent and to protect a person’s spirit.
The smaller flowing patterns within the geometric forms are the radiating power of the Cosmic Serpent which turns this way and that, betwixt and between constantly creating the universe as it moves. The circles are often a direct representation of the Cosmic Anaconda, and within the circle itself is the central point of creation.
In the Western tradition, from the Pythagoreans, and Plato through the Renaissance music was used to heal the body and to elevate the soul. It was also believed that earthly music was no more than a faint echo of the universal ‘harmony of the spheres’. This view of the harmony of the universe was held both by artists and scientists until the mechanistic universe of Newton.
Joseph Campbell the foremost scholar of mythology suggests that there is a universe of harmonic vibrations which the human collective unconscious has always been in communion with. Our beings beat to the ancient rhythms of the cosmos. The traditional ways of the Shipibo and other indigenous peoples still reflect the primal rhythm, and their perception of the universal forces made physical is truly a communion with the infinite.

These investigations are in collaboration with several research groups especially with Dr. R. Lück at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, Germany, and Dr. S. Ritsch at the Institute for Materials Research of Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan.

Inky Designs with Ferrofluid
Yeah know how we designers like clean inky lines on the computer using vectors and illustrator?? Well you can make similar designs in real life with ferrofluid and sound. Cymatics is teh study of sound moving matter and can be a really interesting project to do. More experimentation should be done regarding Hebrew sounds, matter and sound. But here is some inky ferrofluid goodness:
The last one is fun, but it just shows that sound energy (or energy in general) is spiral in nature. Why do you think the spiral is the most common form in nature?!
Subatomic Spiral – Tracks of the reaction between subatomic particles observed in the cloud chamber. This is a device, containing a gas saturated with the vapor of a liquid, which allows us to photograph the trajectory of subatomic particles having an electric charge, or better the track of droplets produced by them when traveling through the vapor.
This photo makes enough evidence that energy travels in a spiral, which is seen through out all nature. We are made up of subatomic particles.
