Last summer, Massachusetts-based artist Kristi Beisecker (see right) launched a custom printed lifestyle product line featuring her OOAK artwork under her brand name – K Glyphics. She calls her artwork, however, Electrography. In her process she exposes organic materials on top of photosensitive paper which is then developed normally in a darkroom. Instead of using a camera, however, she exposes these organic materials with electricity. This process is a derivative from Kirlian Photography which uses electricity to expose objects on Polaroids. As a result, it shows the auric energy of living materials which is known as “life-force” energy in many cultures and is popular in the spiritual community.
