Living A Simple Life

So, I realized I am someone who plans ahead in their head a lot. Sometimes its beneficial to me, sometimes -mostly- its not. A majority of this ‘planning’ is dreaming.

However, I hope to live a simple life. I know how complicated life can get. But for me, I see that it does not take much to live a simple, elegant life.

I am also frustrated because I can’t do much now. Since I’m about to graduate college (in four months) I’ve been at my parents house, and they’ll question my every move. I know that they are trying to show that they care and are interested in me… but questioning my every move does not coincide with my personality. I like to plan in secret and not really share a lot of my ideas. If I think the idea would be beneficial to someone I’ll share it.

So proposing this Vardo living situation is going to be interesting. I have to explain, and give my reasons as to why I want to live this way.

I may even just save up secretly and purchase the trolley secretly until I’m ready to do some serious work on it.

We’ll see. I just don’t like having my motives questioned. Because I feel like I’m not on my own when my motives are questioned. I feel like I have to report to a manager whenever I want to do something with my life, and that’s NOT how I want to live…

Amazing to think I am back a school.

I finished move in around 2, and spent around a half hour getting food.

Parents left, (and then I spoke to iran) 2 and a half hours organizing and unpacking.
After, I relaxed had a smirnoff and then took a four hour nap.

Most of the suitemates so far seem to be okay. There is a social group however that already exists so I think it might be hard to get to know them (12,000 Copine) (who is in the group but not in the suite) knows me…. so maybe it won’t be so bad.

But when we were in the kitchen I felt kinda ignored =/ oh well….
(I doubt there is room for Nina, not ) mean to me or open to me or not because I won’t be here all year… I’m hoping to graduate in the winter. I woke up from my nap not feeling too hot. I feel like I have a head cold coming down and I’m kinda sick to my stomach… but I’m going to go to bed soon and hopefully in the morning I’ll be better. After all before my nap (around 6) I had been up SINCE 6 am.

I think I was just exhausted and heat exhausted.

Anyway, here is my reading for this semester:

Beggars

Whelp. I am %95 packed. There are a few things around my room I need to look at, but everything else… all packed.

Can’t believe summer is officially over. Phew. Didn’t think I’ll see the day… always say that.

Anyway today was interesting.

I had lunch with a good friend of mine from high school who went to Caltech and just finished. She’s starting Graduate school at MIT this fall. We met a California Pizza Kitchen. I had a chicken sandwich with herb and onion bread, lettuce, avocado and bacon. Delicious.

I then left for dick blicks and I got there okay. I found what I needed okay. Mounting board was on sale!! Buy 2 get one free… so I bought 4 and got 2 free. I also got copper etching solution since I have a project in mind and the solution is hard to get, and paper binding compound to make my own pads of paper.

I used up a gift card I had from my birthday. I also didn’t have to pay for parking!! Awesome.

I had an interesting experience today though. I am completely aware of the number of homeless people and the beggars out in between the streets holding a signs, etc. but I never had anyone come up to me and INTENTIONALLY beg… I was walking back to my car an african american woman came up to me, less than five inches from my face looked directly in my eyes and told me that she appreciated how nice I was to her and told me a sob story and begged for money. I told her that I was an unemployed art student who doesn’t earn much. Then she proceeded to ask if I could buy her a cup of coffee, and I told her -again- that I was an unemployed art student who didn’t have much to give, I only had enough money left to finish my errands for the rest of the day.

Ironically enough all what was going on through my mind was the CBS series about Hunger in America, and synchronistically that same series was on again tonight.

I decided to RS this because I took it as a “sign” something to make me pay attention.

Below is the content from the reversal. F is Forward and R is reverse. Everything in parentheses was not in the original recording but the people on the other side intercepted and changed. Sound goes through many materials, and here it can pick up sounds on the other side of the veil or mind. We are getting information from the Universal Mind, the part of our brains that we’ve been shut off that we can’t use. This mysticism is based on the fact that reality is indeed a mirror, a hologram.

(Wish, out backwards, wait) (so many beggars) this never really been apart of my life. Um, so yah.

Cable Car Concepts

So I’ve been emailing Cable Car Concepts to see what it would take to ‘gut’ and transform a used vehicle to what I have in mind. A brand new vehicle would be $100,000 which would be as much as a small house … so they also suggested that I’d buy a used vehicle for $34,000 and then their deal would be to drop the price to $25,000 and have it be under my budget $30,000. Which would leave $5,000 to put the electrical and water systems in. They would also ‘gut’ it for me and take out the benches. Also the used vehicle is stationed in NJ which isn’t a very far from Boston or Pennsylvania.

Makes me wish I had $30,000 now.

Working for a year at a decent job (25 hrs a week, for 25/hr) I would be ready in a year (260 days x $625 = 162,500). BUT if I was working 25 hrs a week at $15 (260 x $375 = $975,000) so I would still be ready in a year if I was working entry level as a graphic designer living at home. I plan to live at home for a year, unless I find someone to room with.

Portfolio Gallery

PHEW!

I finally uploaded ALL my work from college and client to my new portfolio gallery. I am using Zenphoto and I LOVE it! I totally recommend using it for a gallery managing system. It was relatively easy to set up and it makes it a lot easier to upload images without having to deal with code! Amazing. It utilizes MYSQL database and PHP so make sure your domain can support that. You can also upload .zips and .mov, .mp3 and .mp4. Yippie.

Its totally customizable too. I just figured out the PHP structure of the site and figured out the basic structure of the layout theme and CSS and just put my own CSS into the style.css file and assigned the right labels to the right divs, etc and done!

Def recommend it.

East Coast Earthquake: Mineral, Virgina

Ever since May, 25, 2011 when I wrote about the New Madrid Line being affected which could possibly produce aftershocks all the way to the east coast if affected badly, I’ve been half expecting an earthquake on the east coast. While this earthquake wasn’t on the New Madrid line, a HAARP ring WAS detected there. The earthquake happened on an old unseductive cratonic ( craton is the stable portion of a continent) plate. AND we thought earthquakes only happened on tectonic plates…

Notice in the image above, the Low points showcase severe thunderstorms and bad weather and the high points have relatively nice weather. On the east coast especially, where the earthquake happened. There is absolutely no evidence of rain.

The weather instability was in the North-midwest where we see in the HAARP ring video. We see it over Bismarck, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, etc. All HAARP needs to do it put a small amount of energy into the instability and then in effect it creates a large amount of energy which in effect would cause the earthquake out in Colorado and that is why we also see the HAARP there.

low pressure near 60o adiabatically rising air cools; can hold less moisture, water vapor condenses and eventually rains down

DIY Cotton Candy Machine

So using the process above one can make their very own cotton candy machine.

I then thought perhaps a dollar store handheld fan would be a perfect motor:

Take off the blades of the fan and then take an aluminum can and poke holes into it using an awl, or a drill if its something thicker. It doesn’t need to be thicker.

Find a plastic bowl that you can use as a container to catch the spun sugar. Most manufactured machines come with a heater, but for DIY machines you don’t have to have a heater, just have the apparatus by a stove and melt your sugar in a bowl on the stove and then pour it into the holey container.

Attach the fan holder to a piece of cardboard and test your apparatus!

Oh what glorious centrifugal force brings us! 😀

PS: If you buy tonic water and add a little bit of it to the melted sugary mess you might be able to get glowing cotton candy. Tonic water has quinine in it which glows under a black light.

(I hope my mom has her black light bulb still)

Perfect Day

Today was perfect.

I need to blog more when these days happen.

Woke up at 11, finished breakfast at noon.

Went to the beach until 3:30 pm. The water was so warm it was lukewarm, bath water temp.

It was wavy too, so fun.

Had lunch and then got an orange creamiscle from the Ice Cream Man.

Came home, took a shower chillaxed and enjoyed our deck.

Had dinner late of muscles, steamer clams, pesto spaghetti, garlic bread, home grown summer squash and tomatoes. After dinner, we heard two owls on a property. Never heard them before now and we’ve been coming here since the end of June.

Perfect. MMmmm.

Myths and Storytelling

I was reading my book,

Sacred Sounds

by Ted Andrews, today on the beach when I came across a chapter that talks about myths, mystical teachings and storytelling. My head was going, YES YES YES!!! all excitedly, because that’s what a huge part of my research is, rediscovering the art of symbology and how it connected to the esotericism in myths and folklore.

Someone else published what I thought I had only seen. Apparently a mystic storyteller was a bard, who was able to carry on the mystical teachings and put them into story format that the public was able to accept. If they didn’t know they were mystical teachings, then the wisdom would be kept but the mystique might be lost.

Which brings me to conclude how I believe Science-fiction, fantasy and other ‘otherwordly’ stories of our time, may in fact be very real. That the author was taping into the Universal Mind and pulled its teachings forward to create the story. So before chucking a story away that may appear to be far fetched, study it and analyze its contents. What teaching may be contained within it or a moral or something that is supposed to enlighten the public.

I’d like to take this practice further and see how I can incorporate a story format into my design work as well as my life in general. i think that would be cool.
