Internationally recognized image-maker Kristi Beisecker will be trekking to Greenland May 22-31st in a research expedition to create new imaging techniques for her artistic practice. Through a combination of art and science she will be surveying Greenland in hopes of finding her next inspiration. Staying at Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, she will carry out several imaging techniques including – kirlian photography, traditional and digital photography, filmmaking as well as miscellaneous techniques of her own creation.
Kristi Beisecker is an award-winning artist and designer who resides in western Massachusetts (USA). When she is not making images, she works as a full-time graphic designer at a local food cooperative. Her award-winning work has been exhibited 44+ times worldwide including Paris, France and Venice, Italy and has won several awards and residencies.
In conjunction with her imaging research, she has launched a fundraising campaign to support this journey. Her research is aimed at making new and unique images and art collections in hopes of raising awareness of the climate change of Greenland as well as the art and science of the Arctic Circle.
